Zombie Burger and Fries

“Here’s a GREAT reason to Not eat Fast Food: 135 Day Old Zombie Burger and Fries

Following the KISS rule when it comes to eating: If God made it eat it, If man made it LEAVE it.
·         In other words as close as you can get to when your food either roamed the earth or grew out of the ground, that is when it is BEST FOR YOU!
·         Food that’s wrapped in a cellophane wrapper, has a list of 20 ingredients and a  shelf life longer than a drive in rush hour traffic on IH-35 should be avoided at all costs.

While “fast/convenient” food may taste okay and be an easy answer at the time, consider the long term damage that you are doing to yourself…not to mention being loose and flabby from all the artificial ingredients that you poisoning your body with! Yuck!

Take time to prepare in advance its easy, and the rewards are SO worth it. We breakdown a lot of muscle tissue at boot camp. If you don’t feed yourself properly, you can potentially be doing more harm than good. Here are two SIMPLE ways to be sure that you are getting in good, healthy, clean calories that will build lean muscle, support fat burning, and help you look, feel better…and be LEANER!

1.       Chocolate IsaLean Shake. This is a meal replacement shake that I personally use. It tastes incredible, is made from the highest quality whey protein on the planet (seriously) and is nutritionally complete. Let’s say that you are having one of those days with no time to eat and your day started without you. Grab a shaker, grab this canister, find 12 ounces of cold purified water and you are set: Chocolate IsaLean Shake.

2.       The key to eating healthy is to PREPARE in advance! Remember the Zombie burger from above…avoid fast food by bringing your meals with you! So, here is an easy way to do that with 5 simple basic meals that will  keep your muscles repairing, your energy levels up and your metabolism humming:

Prep time 5 to 10 min, cook time 20 min.
In advance: Place 4 to 5 fresh (not the frozen kind!) chicken breasts in a large skillet. Cover 1/8 to ¼ of chicken with water. Season to taste. Place tight fitting lid on pan, cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.
At grocery store, buy 5lb bag of Broccoli Normandy (or any mixed veggies), place ½ to ¾ bag in large pot. Fill ¼ full with water. Bring water to boil. Immediately remove from heat and drain veggies.
Store chicken and vegetables in separate containers in fridge.

Eat meal one (2 minutes prep time) before you head out the door for the day, then grab the chicken breast and veggies toss them in a hot/cold lunch bag with blue ice packs and you’re set!

Meal One: One or two scoops whey protein powder (for value I recommend the 6lb bag of Muscle Milk 100% Whey Protein from Sams Club - $29.99), 1 cup mixed frozen berries, 1 – 2 cups organic baby spinach, ¼ cup of whole rolled oats. A few ice cubes, sweeten to taste with Stevia or Agave Nectar and enjoy!

Meal Two: ½ chicken breast ½ cup of vegetables

Meal Three: IsaLean Shake or ½ chicken breast and ½ cup vegetables

Meal  Four: ¼ chicken breast and piece of fruit

Meal Five: IsaLean Shake or ½ chicken breast and 1 cup of vegetables.

Meal Six: If needed: IsaLean Shake. “

Eating "clean" doesn't have to be complicated, but it does take a little prep work. However, when you consider how great it feels to be able to fit into those "skinny jeans" whenever you want and not have to "diet" for a month just for a special occasion...its well worth it!
